Magnet Collaborations is a multi-disciplinary creative consultancy and art agency founded by Gabrielle Sirkin

Gabrielle Sirkin is an Independent Curator, Director, Producer, and Innovator. She works across all media as a connector of people and spaces with creative projects and opportunities. She earned her M.A. from Sotheby’s Institute of Art London in the History and Theory of Photography after her B.F.A (Hons) from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Photography and Art History.

From 2012-2016, Gabrielle was the Chief-of Staff for world-renowned photographer, storyteller and human rights activist, Platon. She produced over 50 magazine covers and editorials for WIRED, TIME, Vanity Fair, GQ, GARAGE, Bloomberg, OUT, Variety, New York Magazine and many more, as well as two artist monographs with major accompanying exhibitions, and a collaboration with the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. For the last two years of her tenure with Platon, Gabrielle helped to build his 501(c)3 organization The People’s Portfolio from it’s inception and was humbled by an opportunity to work with the Nobel Peace laureate Dr. Denis Mukwege in the Democratic Republic of the Congo during that time.

In 2016, Gabrielle started Magnet Collaborations, a multi-disciplinary creative consultancy and art agency dedicated to conceptualizing and producing art, film and immersive experiences with independent and corporate partners.

Since her launch with Magnet Collaborations, she has worked with companies such The Diamond Foundry and Future of StoryTelling, where she has served as a Creative Director and Experiential Producer. Since November 2018, Magnet Collaborations is partnered with Microsoft’s Global Brand Team on the People Who Inspire Initiative.

Gabrielle holds the position of Chief Curator at Amy Van Doran’s Modern Love Club, where she has curated the two successful exhibitions: MEN I LOVE (and other things I think about) in 2017 and SEA WITCH/SPACE WITCH in 2018 — featuring notable artists such as Man Ray, David Shrigely, Tom Otterness, Lowell Nesbitt, Michael Halsband, Kurt Vonnegut, Ralph Steadman, Dave Eggers and many more.

Channeling her creative and entrepreneurial spirit into her life’s work and passions, Gabrielle is building her online Gallery (Magnet Co.Labs) to promote emerging and mid-career artists, which will launch in 2019. She has been a member of the Guggenheim’s Young Collector Council and Acquisitions Committee since 2014.

Gabrielle currently lives in Brooklyn, New York in an apartment with many plants.
